Chinese Old Peking rug, This is an elegant old Peking carpet. The field contains a central medalion with the flowers of the four seasons motif. They are the tree peony, the lotus, the chrysanthemum and the plum blossom which represent spring, summer, autumn and winter, respectively. The border is a series of lotus flowers in vases with long-life "shou"characters upon them. Cotton warp and weft, asymmetrical woolen knots. There are three small skillful repairs on it. All vegetable dyed.
