This interesting pictorial carpet from inner Mongolia has
a very unusual mirror image design featuring lucky deer next
to a tree while high above the white crane of longevity soars.
The deer appears to be watching the crane. The border is a
very elegant scroll of lotus flowers. Cotton warp and weft,
asymmetrical woolen knots in a very good condition and all
vegetable dye.
