This
great pictorial carpet tells the story of China's four seasons.
The very whimsical frog with flowers with on its rear end
is especially fun. Beside this the interesting carpet also
depicts the symbols of Hundred of Antiques; The vase, peony
flowers(in spring), the Peach blossom(in Summer), The plum
blossom(in winter), finger lemons (Buddha's hand)and the Four
Accomplishments; paintings and the books. The border is a
mixed series of panels much like wood carving. Cotton warp
and weft, asymmetrical woolen knots. There are three repairs
on the bottom of this rug.
